One Stop Craft Challenge

Let's hear it for the boys is the theme for One Stop Craft Challenge this week. Here is a digital birthday card I made using a picture of my Uncle Robert in front of his new car. He is holding his baby brother Leslie.

Artarazzi

Using the fingerprint supplied by Artarazzi, I have made them smaller and rounder. My ancestor Pearl is enjoying her new earrings as she visits this beautiful garden. Garden painting is a freebie from Dover.

Art Creations Friday

The college I attended (now a university) is celebrating its 125th "birthday" this year. I found these wonderful vintage images on the university's brochure that came in the mail yesterday. I am using the Art Creations Friday design, which was green, as my background. The building in the background is dormitory row, still used for dorm rooms. This fits in with TGIF, whose theme is architecture.

The lady in front is one of Dover's images.

TIO - Theme Thursday

Walk Like an Egyptian is the theme for TIO. My tag has some images I got by googling. The word: Egypt was stamped in StaZon.

Theme Thursday's challenge is to make a tag.

One Stop - Vintage

One Stop Craft Challenge's theme for this week is Vintage. I think the sepia color is so perfect for vintage art pieces. I took a background I had painted, turned it into sepia, overlaid it with parts of a Dover Publications background (also made sepia), and added one of Belinda's beautiful freebie images. I found a Dover antique label of a corset with ferns or feathers, cut off what I didn't need and used the rest for a headdress for my little lady. This is a digital ATC.

Art Creations Friday

I thought that was too much hat for a little girl so I changed it for my Art Creations Friday entry into a bow. All my images except the girl and the rope are from Dover Publications.

The challenge this week for Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog #61 is to use only black and white, to use a silhouette, and to use a stamp. My stamped flower is my silhouette.

Gothic Arches this week is Peace. One Stop this week is Pink and Brown. I have combined these two challenges into this one card. Images are from Dover.

Artarazzi

I took one of the little girls from the image given us by Artarazzi challenge today and placed her here at the tea party. I think they will have to find another cup. The background with the windmill is Dover. The tea party is also a Dover image. I also had to fill in a few spots with color.
This is a 4x4 size.

Art Creation Friday

This is such a gorgeous background that I hope Wil won't mind my using it again sometime. I didn't want to cover it up so I just added a couple of Kabukis from Dover Publications to adorn the background. I changed the proportions a bit on the background. Art Creations Friday has more examples of art using this background.

Tag It On! - Rhubard, Crumble, and Custard

My tag this week for Tag It On! has the colors of pink and yellow (I'm not sure I've ever combined those two before), texture from gesso and netting, embellishments (brad and netting), and several stamped flowers in black, pink, and yellow inks.

Roma and Postage Stamps

This postcard was done for two challenges today:
Paper Minutes - cities and Created by Hand. - postage stamps. This is a paper collage, but I didn't like the colors that it had. So I have digitally made the postcard sepia.

Little Girls - Gothic Arches

The Sunday Gothic Arches theme this week is Little Girls. This image is from Dover Publications. The background is one that came from a challenge on Art Creation Friday several months ago.

Artarazzi

I used the image given us by Artarazzi, filtered it, duplicated it twice, reversing and flipping it over. I had the angel picture on my computer but the image was only from head to hands. I extended the angel's dress and superimposed the angel over the background. Simple, but I like it.

TIO

This orange tag was made for Tag it on. I started with some paper I had made a while back using scraps of computer paper and tissue paper. I dabbed the paper with orange and gold Moonglow colors, stamped the flowers with some of my stamps, and deposited this handmade fairy onto the tag. Not being into fairies too much, I have no stamps of that sort. This was fun to do.

Artarazzi - Spring Flowers

The painting furnished us today by Artarazzi is Spring Flowers by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema, a Dutch-born English classical painter. The background is one of the posters that Dover Publications offered as a freebie.

Art Creations Friday

I wanted to use this beautiful young woman but not as a clown. So changed a bit about her attire and placed her in front of an old pub, across the ocean from her home in the US. Unfortunately, try as I might, I could never get her image as sharp as the background.  This image comes to us from Art Creations Friday.
