Playing with the Tulip Painting

This week in watercolor class we painted a tulip.

I used this painting to play around with
Photoshop Elements in the following photos.

Thanks, Kristin and Eva, for hosting the weekly
Paint Party Friday where artist of all nations
and abilities can show what art work they have
done this week. We appreciate you.

And finally here is a tulip painting I did at home Thursday.

Sparse Art Week

I've been trying to get rid of some of the stuff
that has been inhabiting my closets, things I
haven't used or even seen in decades. So I
did not do any art this week other than what
we did in Saturday's mixed media class - painted
papers using newspaper inserts and acrylics.
I am entering this in Paint Party Friday

More landscapes at sunrise

I had so much fun doing orange morning skies
last week that I decided to try it again.
The snow scenes were done Wednesday when
my granddaughter came over to paint with me.
The 6" snow is  melting finally. With 3° F temperature
it stayed around longer than usual. So glad I can
finally get out onto the road again.

(Amazing how the computer makes them look better than in real life!)

And some faces I dreamed up this week. The first two are watercolors.
The last one is a phone doodle that I colorized using Photoshop Elements.

For some really great art, visit Paint Party Friday,
hosted each week by Kristin and Eva.

Sunrise Landscapes

Valerie's beautiful photography inspired me
to do some silhouette landscapes from her
photos, with her permission.  Here is what
I have done for Paint Party Friday.

My new header was done in the Saturday mixed media class.
It is torn pieces of painted papers glued onto a board. I added blue
for the sky and painted windows and doors, etc.
