This is a watercolor I made yesterday. I have digitally
attached this week's WAW scripture and am entering
this in Word Art Wednesday challenge.Sorry it is hard to
read the white on green. You can click on the mage
to enlarge it. Here is the scripture:

Colored Phone Doodle

This was a pencil doodle on the back of a used
computer paper (may or may not be a crossword
puzzle). Again it is something that crawled out of
my brain while I was on the phone. I colored it
afterwards with dry watercolor pencils. I can't
figure why I always get one eye too high.

Paint Party Friday - April 25

These two sketches were done at the car dealership where I was
getting my car checked up. The top one is a man who was
watching TV and was sketched on the opposite side of a
crossword puzzle  I had done. The eye is just a sketch.

Here are some flowers some friends brought me and I arranged
them in a container I had. I miss flower arranging. I used to do
it a lot when I was in Garden Club.

This, of course, is nowhere near like the arrangement above.
I just used the real thing as a tool to get the flowers where
I wanted them to go. This was nothing but a big mess until
I added the pen marks. This is for  Paint Party Friday.

Word Art Wednesday for 4-23

My entry for WAW using speckling paste on ivory card.

Playing with spackling paste and stencils

The top two have the same pale cream color card stock. I don't know why I can't
get the original (left) to show white on cream. The second photo is where I painted
in with acrylic colors. The 3rd one is where I changed the colors with Photoshop
Elements. The fourth one is using another photo changing program. The last two
are just digital images, but I could print them out. I like the white on cream best.
I mailed a similar card to my daughter-in-law and it got there intact!

Something crazy for PPF

This rug has so many funny images in it. Ever since we got it years ago,
I have found people, birds, and animals in it. I decided to take one of
those images and do a painting in Caran d'Ache crayons. I am entering

Playing with Alcohol Inks Again - PPF

I started with alcohol ink on acetate using 2 greens (meadow and lettuce),
a blue (stream), gold, and eggplant. The gold doesn't show well at all.
I didn't care for this combination and neither did my "friends" on FB, so
I used a photo altering program to change the colors (photo2). I thought
I could see a face so I rotated the photo and outlined images I saw in white
gel pen. This is my entry for Paint Party Friday.

BTW - Is anyone else having emails not reaching bloggers to let them
know that there is a new comment on their blogs? Now almost all of
them, but not all, are coming to me with: mail delivery failure.

Easter Joy - WAW

I had this wonderful background I had made using spackle paste,
giving it lots of textures. I splotched it with various colors of acrylic
paints. It looked like Easter resurrection to me so I drew a dancing
woman disciple showing joy over the risen Christ. The text for the
Word Art Wednesday seems to fit right in with this.

Alcohol Ink and Acetate - PPF

I found some sheets of acetate in my husband's old papers and decided
to try alcohol inks on them. This turned out so pretty, I think.

Next I used a sponge and leftover alcohol inks and I blotted all over
a sheet of computer paper, adding a bit of gold. I did a bit of stamping so I had
an overall design.  I overlaid an acetate sheet on top of this, creating a
shiny surface.  I made a card or two using the acetate/paper combination.
