House and Home Created by Hand Challenge
This is a digital art piece I did using a photo of an oil painting I did of the house I was born in and grew up in. I overlaid the photo with a photo of my grandmother, for whom the house was built in 1908. The little girl in the painting is my mother who was also born in this house. Other entries in the challenge can be found at Created by Hand.

Simplicity
In May Art Techniques ATCs group is having a swap, entitled simply "Blue." The ATC must be mostly blue. This very rainy afternoon I have been working on this swap. The maple leaf is a homemade stamp. The quote is by Einstein."Out of clutter find simplicity."

Sunday Gothic Arches Garden Fairies

This is my entry for the Sunday Gothic Arches challenge this week. The theme is Garden Fairies. I don't have any stamps that fit that description so I used a butterfly and a sticker. The background is Adirondack alcohol inks of butterscotch and stream. The flowers are a stamp I got at Michael's.

Wednesday Stamper - Insects
This ATC began as a watercolor project in an art class, a painting of a sunset on the water with a few reeds in the water. I cut it up into pieces I could use in greetings cards. The dragonfly is stamped with clear embossing pad and fine gold embossing powder. Insects is the theme this week for Wednesday Stamper.

The punchinella image at the bottom is embossed with pearl blue and holographic powders. The dragonfly is embossed with holographic and gold powders. I plan to use this ATC as part of a greetings card I will send to a friend.

My Doll and Me Gothic Arch
Actually, my favorite doll as a very young child was my real-life baby sister, so I have included her in my entry for "My Doll and Me" challenge. The rag doll was a first grade project I did. The teacher provided the pattern, which we took home and used to make a doll. All the sewing including the lovely embroidery work (LOL) was hand done by me as a 6 year old. Unfortunately, I have no photographs at all of me and a doll together. Here I am (blond hair) shown with my little sister. My background is done with alcohol inks on cheapo glossy photo paper. Some of the inks are homemade and some are Adirondack.

Wednesday Stamper - Alter Me

I did a digital alteration on the image provided. I printed it out and then stamped small gold flowers onto the background. The text says: "Miss Pettigrew applies for a teaching position." Wednesday stamper can be found here.

New Stamps
This gorgeous image is done on gold pearlized card stock using one of the stamps Judy sent me from Hearts in Touch (http://www.heartsintouch.com/). Thanks to this wonderful RAK I have a whole lot more variety in my meager stamp collection. This sheet of stamps has vintage couples and women. I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of cards and ATCs with them.
