Last Wednesday Stamper Challenge

I'm sad that the Wednesday Stamper challenge is closing down. Wednesdays are incredibly busy for me and so I often wasn't able to join. However, I couldn't pass up this opportunity to participate in the final challenge. Use a rubber or clear stamp.

My background is done in alcohol inks (I love them!!!). My stamp is "Elizabeth" by Stampin' Up.

Thanks to the design team, which has done an outstanding job providing us with inspiration.

Spring's Bright Colors on a Tag

I am entering this colorful abstract tag in the Wednesday Stamper (Fabulously Colorful) and in the Tag Tuesday (Think Spring) challenges.

Louise, so faithful in creating wonderful challenges for Tag Tuesday, is "hanging up the towel." Rebecca has decided to pick up the mantel and have Tag Tuesday on her blog.

This tag is a wild array of alcohol inks that I dropped onto shiny cardstock and then blew through a drinking straw to disperse the colors. The one 3-D flower was made from my heart punch and a daisy punch. The flower stamp is by Stampin' Up

E is for Easter or Equinox (vernal)

Dezinaworld's beautiful freebies, the background and the eye chart, today have inspired me to use them in today's challenges. The beautiful woman was from Jeanette's So Artful challenge. The stamp of spring flowers is from Purple Onion.

Wednesday Stamper is to pick a letter of the alphabet.
The Three Muses is to use something to say Spring.

Wednesday Stamper - I Can Fly

This card has an alcohol ink on glossy cardstock background. The  Butterfly and the Dragonfly were stamped onto vellum and stuck onto the cardstock.

Fabric Tag

These trees were stamped and heat embossed onto an alcohol inked glossy cardstock. I cut them out and adhered them to this scrap of fabric.

This began as a Christmas card to someone in Croatia I used to swap ATCs with. Apparently she had moved because my card came back to me. I found her Facebook and left a message but I didn't hear back. So, I have disassembled the card to make this tag for Wednesday Stamper (tags) and Tag it On (fabricate it, use words).

Snowflakes - Wednesday Stamper

Snowflakes! Wow, we have had a lot of them lately. Now Wednesday Stamper has us using them on our cards.

This started out as pearlized cardstock on which I dropped and spread alcohol inks. I have some white snowflakes that I made by smearing white gesso over a brass template. The small stamped snowflakes were made with a single tiny stamp. Some of the snowflakes were embossed and some have glitter glue on them. The purple snowflake was handcut so it is a bit wonky. The trees were stamped and embossed on designer paper and cut out. They are raised on little foam pads.

Wednesday Stamper - Hearts

Hearts is the theme of Wednesday Stamper. I have used a white cardstock for the greetings card itself. My layers include blue cardstock, shiny silver frame, lace paper. The heart was cut with the heart punch with the blue heart cut with scissors. The label is a Fiskar template. I do so wish the silver showed better. It was actually black in the scan. I've changed it to gray, but it is really very shiny silver, given to me as a prize by Frankie.

Edit: I have added a second heart post, mostly digital using a background from Kubivet, brushes by Annika von Holdt, and the image from Dover Publications. I have now stamped the heart with a Inkadinkadoo clear stamp so the entry meets the WS guidelines.

Polka Dot Beaded Tag

This tag is made from double sided lavender/blue card stock. The small polka dots were made using a piece of sequin waste. The large dots were made with a foam roller that has raised dots on it. The hot air balloons is a stamp. The tag hanger is made from a copper wire with beads strung on it.

The two challenges I made this for are Wednesday Stamper and Tag it On.

The 3 Muses and Wednesday Stamper

My entry for both The Three Muses (wheel) and Wednesday Stamper (stitching) is this tag. The background is cardstock that has been misted and sprayed with various mica sprays (Moonglow and home-made). My stamps are all Stampin' Up and the ink is StaZon. My stitching was done with a tiny hand stitcher. I removed the thread and left the stitching holes. The ribbon is eyelash yarn. In case you didn't figure it out, the wheel for the challenge is the wheel on the sewing machine.

Wednesday Stamper - turquoise

Wednesday Stamper has a 2-week challenge: turquoise. I didn't have a chance earlier to post my entry. Here is a pendant made from polymer clay as are the turquoise beads. I stamped it with a swirl stamp from All Night Media. The elongated beads are paper beads that I made. This is not a new creation, but it fit the category so I'm posting it.

Gone Fishing _ WS

A few years ago I gave this watercolor painting as part of a greetings card to an elderly friend. When she died, her daughter asked if I'd like to have it back. I am always so delighted when one of my paintings makes its way back to me to be reused.

However, I am only using the left quarter of the picture. The fisherlady is in the part I did not use. The 3 fish are from a photo I just made of my dh's wall trophies. I scanned both and put them together via Photoshop Elements.

Knowing I had to have a real rubber stamp in this work to use for the Wednesday Stamper challenge, I printed out what I had done on glossy photo paper. Then I stamped with Stazon and Stampendous stamp.

Tag it On and Wednesday Stamper

There are 2 things that I dearly love about mixed media art. They are things I didn't experience when I was doing only oil painting or watercolor painting. These two things are: alcohol inks and flourishes.

Wednesday Stamper wants us to do art with the theme: I Love. This tag contains the 2 things I love.

Dragon Lady's Tag it On wants us to use acetate and alcohol inks. I have many alcohol inks, but I do not have acetate. I used what I had. I used a piece of plastic document cover (the top part of the card) and Sheer Heaven. I'm not sure what SH is made of. It could be acetate; it could be a toothed plastic. Anyway the lower part was done with the AI on the toothed side of SH. The lower right side and diagonally up toward the left (green to red) was done with the AI on the slick side of the Sheer Heaven. The stamp is from Purple Onion.

Key to my heart: flowers

This tag is for two challenges, both requiring a real stamp (heart): Tag it On  (key) and Wednesday Stamper (flowers).

Wednesday Stamper - Created by Hand

This card was made for Wednesday Stamper using watercolor paper, watercolor pencils, crayons and tube paints. Parts of the card were embossed with garnet EP. The brown is Moon Shadow's Mulberry Ink, which uses mica powders in walnut ink. The stamp is by See D's. In the sky is the theme for this week.

This reminds me of a hymn in our church hymnal:

For the Beauty of the Earth by Folliot S. Pierpoint, 1864

For the beauty of the earth, for the glory of the skies,
For the love which from our birth over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.

Edit: I note that this is ok for Created by Hand, too, so I'm entering it there as well.

Wednesday Stamper and TIO

This tag was made for two challenges this week: Tag it On (Under the Shadow of the Moon) and Wednesday Stamper (Wild Animals). I have used black cardstock and stamped the elephant and grasses in clear embossing ink and embossed with detail opaque white powder. The moon is a googled moon that I printed and pasted to the tag. The tree branch is a digital brush, added last. If you look carefully you can see a baby elephant beside Mama's leg. Is it better without the tree?

Spring - Wednesday Stamper

Spring is the theme for Wednesday Stamper this week. I made this piece last night digitally, except for the large flower. So to conform to the Wednesday Stamper requirement of using at least one real stamp, I have printed it out onto glossy photo paper and stamped with my favorite flower stamp. I then colored the flower with my Marvy Le Plume markers.

The background started off with a single group of flowers, an image from Karen's Images. I doubled it, flipped it horizontally and vertically. I then made it into a digital pattern and used it all over for the background. The lovely girl was used for another earlier challenge, but I can't remember whose it was. Can anyone help me remember?

Doodling

This ATC was doodled while watching/listening to Family Feud on TV tonight. I used my Prismacolor pencils and a very fine black pen. The stamps are the dark green flourishes and the "togetherness". Wednesday Stamper's theme is Doodling, something I make all the time.

Wednesday Stamper - Spoil Me

My ATC expresses several ways to "Spoil Me": flowers, love notes, and gemstones. Wednesday Stamper's theme is spoil me.

My background was created by placing on my craft sheet some acrylic paints and acrylic varnish misted with a hand-made glimmer mist. My stamps are clear See D's and are stamped with archival ink. The lace and bauble come from my stash.
