Think Monday Think ATCs - Egg

Here is my Faberge-type egg ATC I have made for TMTA. I used an egg shape template to cut out the egg from some card stock I had sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gang Moonshadow Mists and Starbursts colors. The ATC background was sprayed using other colors of the same product line. I stamped in clear embossing ink and embossed in Obsidian Emerald and Copper embossing powders. Finally I dotted with Stickles. The white ribbon was dyed using the same Moonshadow Mists.

Think Monday Think ATCs - Pens/Nibs

Here is my ATC for the TMTA challenge. I do not own a stamp of the old fashioned pen so I used the stamp I have of modern pens. But just to be sure I am in compliance with the rules, I have hand drawn an old-fashioned pen point.

Think Monday Think ATCs - Eyeglasses

Here is my entry for TMTA's challenge this week - eyeglasses.

My background is made from distress inks, stamped with some Stampin' Up stamps, and made into a background for my computer. The old Bible and the eyeglasses are some family treasures. This was assembled on the computer, sized to 2.5x3.5 inches. The scripture is a wise saying from Psalm 119:105. "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."

I couldn't tell if I had to use a face on my ATC or just glasses. I have this antique pince-nez that I wanted to use for this challenge.

TMTA - Hollywood Stars

Here is my ATC for the Think Monday Think ATCs challenge. The background is a small piece from my newest background I made using Lumiere and other mica paints. The circles and butterfly are impressions from rubber stamps while the paint was still wet. Audrey Hepburn is a freebie from Dover Publications. The glittered star/flowers was added for sparkle .

TMTA - Everything about Sewing

This is my ATC for Think Monday Think ATCs. First I did a digital collage that was 2.5" x 3.5". Then I printed it out on glossy photo paper, attached the ribbon and the heart "button",  and distressed around the edges with Vintage Photo ink.

Think Monday Think ATCs - Glückspilze

I'm not sure how this mushroom fits into New Year's wishes, but that seems to be what the topic is for Think Monday Think ATCs. I suspect it is my not knowing of some European tradition.  I think this translates to lucky mushroom. Anyway, I have used parts of two new scrapbook papers my dh gave me for Christmas as my background for the mushrooms to make my ATC. I think the colors go together very well.

Joy to the World!

Here is my ATC for Think Monday Think ATC (script) and for Take a Word (Joy).

My background is one I got from Dezinaworld. The angel is a digital stamp I made from a Dover image. This was made to the 2.5x3.5 inch size.

"Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great JOY that will be to all people."  Luke 2:10

TMTA - Furniture

Furniture is the theme for this week's Think Monday Think ATCs. I thought of the rocking chair, instrumental in lulling those newborns to sleep. My background is various store-bought and homemade mists along with some Distress Inks. The chair was googled.

TMTA - children

This morning I did this little sketch. It turned out to be 2.5 inches wide, but the original is the full figure and goes to about 5.5 inches long. I hope it's ok for the Think Monday Think ATCs challenge that I copied this and whacked off about 2 inches so that it is the 2.5x3.5 inch ATC size.

Think Monday Think ATCs - Forever

We often use the word "forever" for the stretch of time when we are waiting for something to occur.

This ATC for Think Monday Think ATCs represents my view of forever, eternity, (ewig). To tell the truth, it is impossible to wrap our minds around the idea of the eternal. It's one of those things we take on faith (or don't). I choose to believe in an everlasting God in heaven, even though my mind cannot completely comprehend.

My background is distress inks rubbed on glossy cardstock and over-stamped with the same inks using Stampin' Up stamps. The angel is one my dear friend Laura gave me. It is Inkadinkadoo stamped in StaZon.

Think Monday Think ATCs - Black Cat

This is my entry for TMTA (black cats). My ATC background is ordinary cardstock painted with my new artist quality watercolor Hooker's green. On top of that is some handmade Pearlex glitter spray of green and yellow.  Then I rolled the brayer over clear ink pad and inked up one side of a Cuttlebug folder (has birds. I thought the cat needed some fun). When I sprinkled the fine gold embossing powder, it didn't go where I thought it would, but just the opposite. Anyway, here it is. Cat is googled.

TMTA - Leaves

Here is my ATC for Think Monday Think ATCs - Leaves. My background is cardstock stamped with various distress inks using rubber stamps and one hand-cut maple stamp. The maple leaf stamp is one I created out of a foam door hanger. The wooden leaf is a gift from Lindy's Stamp Gang, included with my order.

Think Monday Think ATCs - a touch of violet

TMTA's theme this week is A Touch of Violet. I had made the background a bit ago using lavender and purples on a dry embossed cardstock. I then rubbed the surface with clear ink pad and embossed with silver powder. The flowers at the top are part of a lovely decorative paper napkin Coleen sent to me from the Ukraine. The German stamp with a touch of violet on it is from Silvia (Barnie). My generous internet pals really brighten my day.

TMTA - Building

Here is my ATC for the Think Monday Think ATCs (building) challenge. I painted it in acrylic paints, which I am not accustomed to using. This is probably the only one I'll ever do in that medium.

TMTA - circles

My ATC for the challenge Think Monday Think ATCs (circles) was made on deep teal cardstock. The circles were made with gesso. The circular center of the flower is a brad through a circular piece of metal cut from a Pepsi can and dyed with alcohol inks. The gesso circles have been tinted with watercolors.

TMTA - transparent

Here is my entry for this week's Think Monday Think ATCs. The background paper is some decorative paper I got from Michael's or JoAnn's. I stamped in brown ink the roses and then colored with pencils. Then I stamped onto acetate, the same roses but I cut off some from both sides. I attached with 2 tiny brads.

TMTA - Shells

My ATC for TMTA started out as a photo of the beautiful shell framed mirror my now deceased daughter-in-law gave me years ago. I printed the photo and cut out the mirror part. (I had not noticed before that the shape is a heart. DUH!) My background is alcohol inks on glossy cardstock and stamped with Rubber Stampede stamps. The text was added by computer.

Think Monday Think ATCs - Ancient World

This is my ATC for this week's TMTA challenge - ancient world. I love to work with digital arts because I can get some pretty neat images. My background is done with Photoshop Elements, combining a picture of the Parthenon with an ancient map of Greece. I printed that off. The female image is from Dover Publications. I printed her and colored her with pencils. The other images in this collage came from a travel brochure.
