Artarazzi - Sake barrels

The picture given us this week to use in our Artarazzi challenge was the sake barrels in the background of my piece. This digital collage is made up of mostly Dover images.

Artarazzi

This lovely lady was our inspiration image for Artarazzi this week. I have reversed her and colored her. The background is another one of the wax paper resist techniques I have been experimenting with this week. The close-up lily petals is an image from Dover.

Artarazzi - Sunflower

Here is a copy of my watercolor painting of a sunflower that I have used to make a digital art piece for Artarazzi. I have used the Dover background and the Dover letter S. I am so honored to be asked to provide the theme this week. Hope you have fun with my sunflower.

I took the body from the image given us by Artarazzi and gave her a dress and a new face. The background is from Dover Publications. The face is from another challenge.

Artarazzi presented us the challenge of using this darling little weeping girl. Since I was placing her away from the beach, I made her attire a tad more modest. Here is my Little Lost Lass.

The castle is one of the Dover posters that I altered a bit.

Using the fingerprint supplied by Artarazzi, I have made them smaller and rounder. My ancestor Pearl is enjoying her new earrings as she visits this beautiful garden. Garden painting is a freebie from Dover.

I took one of the little girls from the image given us by Artarazzi challenge today and placed her here at the tea party. I think they will have to find another cup. The background with the windmill is Dover. The tea party is also a Dover image. I also had to fill in a few spots with color.

This is a 4x4 size.

I used the image given us by Artarazzi, filtered it, duplicated it twice, reversing and flipping it over. I had the angel picture on my computer but the image was only from head to hands. I extended the angel's dress and superimposed the angel over the background. Simple, but I like it.

Artarazzi - Spring Flowers

The painting furnished us today by Artarazzi is Spring Flowers by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema, a Dutch-born English classical painter. The background is one of the posters that Dover Publications offered as a freebie.

This beautiful painting, Girl with a Nest, by Charles Joshua Chaplin (1825-1891) was the image given by Femmy for us to use to create our digital art this week for Artarazzi. The image was so lovely that I didn't want to do much with her.  So I just changed the background and what was in her hand. I also used a gradient to change the look a little. The background was from  Dover Publications.

Artarazzi - sea gull

I guess this isn't too imaginative, but I just can't get going today. I've used the wonderful sea gull image that Artarazzi provided this week along with a freebie ship image from Dover Publications to make this piece. I stirred up the clouds a bit and removed the land in the distance.

Vron has given us a beautiful work by Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones. This image of the three women is for my Artarazzi entry. It took over 30 minutes after I completed it to get Blogger to load it. I finally had to make it teeny tiny.

The urn was googled; the flowers are from Dover; the background was from Kubivet.

This lovely Japanese image was given to us by Artarazzi to use as the focus of our art this week. I have done 2 versions and tried to give her a pleasanter facial expression.In one I reversed the image. The background is from a postcard and the fan is from a Christmas card. I thought she would look better with red next to her face.

Artarazzi & One Stop

Last night I got an email that had some cute animal pix in it. This dog and chick was one I saved in case I could use it in a challenge. This morning One Stop is challenging us to make a "Sorry" card. I combined the background from Artarazzi with this picture, adding a tad of extra color.

The challenge for Artarazzi this week is to make a 6x4 card using vintage ads. mine uses 3 from Graphics Fairy. my 4x4 is my entry for retro. All these are from Dover.

Artarazzi Me, Myself, I

Me, Myself, and I is the theme for Artarazzi this week. Here I sit in my little pink dress. No, I did not wear lipstick at 13 months. My mother liked to tint photographs with transparent oil paints made especially for that purpose. Looks like she went overboard on the lips. The bunny and the background are borrowed from Dover Publications.

Artarazzi #9

Here is my entry to Saturday's Artarazzi. The beautiful fashion model image was provided for us by Takeabreak (Flickr) from Art of Costume Design Vintage Magazine. All the other images including the background are freebies from Dover Publications. I have changed some of the colors.

Artarazzi -Orange

Artarazzi gave us a gorgeous painting "Boreas" by John William Waterhouse to use in this week's challenge. The other requirement is that we are to use orange.

Artarazzi

The Artarazzi image we are to use this week is all zigzags. Our challenge is to put this in our digital art and to also use red. The bottom one is what I call "weird valentine" by using various Photoshop Elements filters. I have just added my butterfly abstract at the top. I don't know how to rearrange pictures, once I place them in a post, and the latest always ends up at the top. The top one looks like a Japanese scarf, I think.

The whirligig design is our challenge for Artarazzi this week. I have made it an ornament on this small boy's hat. My background comes from Art Creations Friday. The little boy, colored with Photoshop Elements is from Retro Cafe Art. See detail.
