Fuchsia, Green and White - Colour Create

This ATC background was made last night as I was playing around with inks and a hand-carved stamp. When I discovered that CCC had as its theme: fuchsia, green and white, I decided I could make my ATC work with that theme. I'm not sure exactly what defines fuchsia. Besides the computer doesn't do a great job of getting my colors right on the screen. I will probably add this to some cardstock and make a greetings card from it.

The birdie stamp is one given to me. Not sure who made it.

Winter Scene Card

This card is for two challenges for Thursday:
Rainbow Lady's Challenge - winter sketch
Colour Create _ pink, blue, grey, and white.
I am reminded again as I look at this pitiful entry just why I do not do sketches. That is just not my style. The scene is a watercolor pencil sketch.
The pink scallops are a strip of lace.
The snowflakes are punched out from white paper.
I got this delightful scene from Dezinaworld's Freebies. I have used Photoshop Elements to adjust the colors to mainly pink, blue, grey, and white.

Colour Create, Rainbow Lady, TIO, Play Date Cafe

This red, gold, and cream color piece was done for the Colour Create Challenge. The Japanese items were sent to me by Frankie.

The 3 tags are (left) Rainbow Lady's Challenge where the theme is black and white and silver; (center) Tag it On where the theme is Cuttlebug or other embossing machine; (right) Play Date Cafe where the theme is Color Splash - black and white with a touch of pink, copper, or gold..

Colour Create and TIO

Dragon Lady's Tag it On, celebrating her upcoming handfasting ceremony has directed us to present a tag with the theme: Scene in the Garden. I have used some decorative papers for the background and stamped it with my Stampinback stamp of the wild flower. In the foreground is my Li'l Redhead (made smaller and run off on the computer).

I am also entering this for the Colour Create challenge which has some pretty wild colors to pick from using this Mad Hatter poster. This one was supposed to be on a white card so I digitally made the tag into a card.

Rainbow Lady and Colour Create

Khaki, aqua, cream and brown are the colors that Colour Create has chosen for this week's challenge. And Rainbow Lady has us using our own created backgrounds instead of designer paper. I spend most of my craft time making backgrounds so this was just up my alley.

The background consists of Moon Shadow mists and Pearl Ex mica powders.

Colour Create Challenge

Colour Create Challenge this week is to make something using the colors of lilac, gray, and white. Quite a challenge since lilac seems to be the only real color.

I started with an original watercolor painting of mine and scanned it to the computer, where I removed all the color. Then I added back the lilac to the petals. The leaves and the writing are gray. I hope this simple card is acceptable for this challenge.

Garden Pastels

This 2"x4" piece was done with 3 challenges in mind:

In my garden I see... - Rainbow Lady
Pastels - Colour Create
2x4 size - Theme Thursday

My background was white cardstock that I sprayed and sponged with pastel mica mists. I stamped it with my favorite flower stamp. Then on another piece of white cardstock I stamped the two butterflies and the dragonfly. All three were treated with clear stamp pad and kaleidoscope embossing powder, giving them beautiful shimmery pastel wings. Their antenna are wire and all three are raised on foam dots (thus a few strange shadows).

Rainbow Lady and Colour Create

Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog and Colour Create Challenge Blog inspired this card.

I used a background I had made a while back. It has the right colors for Colour Create (red, pink, chocolate, white, off white). I ran across this antique postcard that also has the right colors in it, so I have made my card with these elements and some red ribbon and pink heart and rose. In small letters at the upper right hand corner of the postcard are the words: St. Valentine's Day.

Lime and Lemon and New

This entry is for two challenges: Rainbow Lady's Challenge (new) and Colour Create Challenge (the colors of lime and lemon).

The two origami cranes are new gifts from a Japanese friend. I set them on a black lacquered tray to take the picture. The tray has numerous gorgeous flowers on it, but I chose to use only this one.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Faces - All White

This is my entry for two challenges: Colour Create, whose theme is All White, and Theme Thursday, whose theme is Faces.

The background is paper on which I added some spackling paste for texture. I found in my bag of goodies from the Arkansas antique store some white lace and flowers, which I used here. The stamp is from Hearts in Touch.

Colour Create

Colour Create's theme this week is the use of the three colors: ruby, cream, and gold.

This started out as a piece of cardstock on which I pounded some flower petals and leaves. I put the scan of the original on my computer for use as backgrounds. I hope it is ruby enough.  The gold has been added digitally, so it's not really metallic gold, but it is a nice gold color, I think.

Anyway, the text comes from 1 Corinthians 13.

Colour Create and One Stop

This 4x4 card was done for Colour Create Challenge (pink, orange, and green) and One Stop (pearls and swirls).

I started out with a lime green card and tried unsuccessfully to do a vaseline resist on it. I wound up with the 3 colors for CCCC. So I then added 3 beads and the swirls along with my stamped flowers. The bandana effect and the pearlizing of the beads was done digitally. I thought it needed the white outline and I had no pearl beads to stick onto the card. Hope this is o.k.

Colour Create

Colour Create gave us a choice of three colors from an array of fruit colors. In the top card I have used tangerine, kiwi, and blackberry. In the lower one I have chosen tangerine, raspberry,  and kiwi, with a touch of blackberry. Both backgrounds were made on watercolor paper using handmade mixtures of PearlEx powders, reinkers, and hairspray (fixative) dabbed on with a sea sponge. The mouse is stamped on a piece of decorative paper. The lower one also has some Moon Glow starburst colors.

Colour Create Lilac and Blue

Here is my entry for this week's Colour Create - lilac and blue. The fish picture given us to get the colors from was so gorgeous. I couldn't get exactly those colors, but I hope this is close enough.

Colour Create #2 Peach and Aqua

The colors of peach and aqua are the theme for Colour Create this week. The aqua was made using Moon Glow spray. The peach colors were also done with Moon Glow products, a daubber. The peach ribbon is shiny and has some gold threads. The feather is on the pink side of peach.

Colour Create Pink, Green, Brown

A new challenge has been created for Sunday. Colour Create is offering its first challenge today: to make an art piece using the colors of pink, green and brown. I am using a background I received in a double print background swap. The artist was Max, but I don't know Max's link. The green is a piece of double sided card stock (the other side is yellow). The image is one that I altered digitally for another challenge. This is an ATC (2.5x3.5")
