Take a Word challenge - Exotic.
This ATC-size digital piece is my entry for the TAW challenge. I used one of the Nicecrane Photoplay covers plus a photo of a strelitzia, the bird-of-paradise flower.
I'm afraid I'm not good at defining exotic. Several years ago when I first started blogging, one of the challenges was "exotic." Never having been to Holland and remembering all the exciting stories from my childhood reading books, I chose to do an entry using Holland. I think my friends from that part of the world split their sides laughing.

Less is More - 3 Squares
This is my simple 3 square card for Less is More challenge. The 3 squares were part of a Christmas card. The black on the 2 small squares is really silver, which does not scan well. The second attempt shows a little bit of the silver. I tried a photo but it didn't work at all. Besides photographing cards gives a distorted image that I find misleading.

One Stop - Spring Flowers
This was done for One Stop challenge (spring flowers). The bright green paper is two different decorative papers. The lavender background is a part of a Christmas card. I stamped the flowers and colored them with Prismacolor pencils and Marvy Le Plume markers. The lace is some I got from Michaels.

Art Cards - inchies
For Art Cards I made this tag featuring some inchies using a technique I found on Rosie's blog. The background is made from stamping in frayed burlap Distress ink onto a combination of Honey and Frayed Burlap inks. I then covered it in several layers of heated UTEE. Be sure to check out Rosie's beautiful use of the technique using a larger piece. (It shows up much better than mine.) And be sure to check out all the other entries on the Art Cards challenge blog.

Theme Thursday - flourishes
Theme Thursday has as its theme this week: flourishes.
I love flourishes and I've used one of the Dover freebies, colored to match my watercolor of blackberry lilies. The combining of the two was done digitally.

Tag Tuesday - Postcards
Postcards is the two-week challenge for Tag Tuesday. Here is my tag made on some decorative paper, embellished with "Paris" from some wonderful paper I bought in Charleston SC and the 1900s image from Dover Publications. The stamps are from Stampin' Up.

Winter Scene - Shades of Blue
Created by Hand's challenge this week is to do use a winter scene with shades of blue. I did this very quick watercolor of the sky and snow. The trees are stamped in StaZon; the grass was added by me in black pen.
