Sketch Saturday #18 - One Stop 3 is the Magic Number
Here is my entry for two challenges: Sketch Saturday and One Stop Craft (three is the magic number). Using the sketch provided for #18 (September 27), my favorite, I decided to go Asian. This sketch had three focus points along the line so this fits in with the requirement of One Stop to use three of something. The Chinese characters say longevity, strength, and wisdom. I am not certain that they are right side up or in the right order.

CBH- Patterned Paper & Wednesday Stamper

Here is yet one more Christmas-themed entry. This time it's for Created by Hand, whose challenge is for us to use patterned paper. Wednesday Stamper is an open theme. I took a picture with my camera instead of scanning this. After I embossed the stamped images in gold I used glitter glue and a very shiny finish on the tag/ornament.

Crazy Amigo - Christmas

One more, and maybe the last, Christmas-themed art challenge. Crazy Amigo has as its theme: Christmas. This is a simple piece, a 3x5 postcard size. I don't have time to do a lot, but I did want to enter one challenge. My background is a cardstock that has run through the pasta machine in a Cuttlebug folder. I then took Stickles on a Qtip and highlighted the embossed areas. The candy
and cookies were a scrap of a decorative plastic bag used for wrapping a gift. The cute penguin is an advertisement. I wish the Stickles showed up better because it really is pretty.
Merry Christmas to all!

Theme Thursday - brown and green
Today was such a busy, busy day that I only had a short time for art. This Merry Christmas card will really end up as a thank you card since I have already sent out all my cards. The foreground card stock was brushed with Moon Glow Emerald and edged with MG Sepia. I stamped it with my favorite tree by PSX in blue and gold stamp pad and then in green. The girl is an alcohol ink/Sheer Heaven® transfer. I backed this with green card stock before adhering it to the brown card stock. Other entries in the Theme Thursday challenge can be seen here. Created by Hand - Ornament from template

Here is an ornament made with 8 circles, four of which are dark green card stock that has a gold embossed tree in the center. The other 4 circles were cut from some beautiful double stamped paper I received from Susan in a swap from Art Techniques, a Yahoo group. My hat's off to those of you who managed this assignment with ease. I really struggled. The circles were all cut with my circle cutter and I still had trouble getting them to line up right. The resulting ornament looks pretty good. I would hang it on my tree. However, it will take a lot of practicing before I'd give mine to someone as a gift. Other ornaments using this technique, which really is a wonderful technique, can be found at Created by Hand.
