Mask

My background is one I had made earlier. It looked like a good one to use to do masking on.

I stamped one of my flourish stamps onto cardstock and cut it out making a mask. Using the mask I added the brown distress ink with a brush. I added the mask itself, which I had inked with fired brick distress ink.

The flower was made by punching out heart shapes from some painted papers and putting them together to form a flower.

Other works of art using masking can be found at Art Cards Challenge (Artekarten).

  3. You have been busy with all that cutting out and painting! At first glance it actually looks like a mask - y'know one of those venitian ones for a ball - the flourishes being the feathers etc. Beautiful technique, beautiful work.
