This ATC was made for Think Monday Think ATC challenge. I used an alcohol inked background. My stamps are by Stampendous and See D's.
I took one of my earlier works, reduced it to fit an ATC and printed it via my inkjet printer onto some Sheer Heaven transfer paper. From there I transferred it directly onto the alcohol inked background.
Sheer Heaven is one of the most versatile "papers". I love to play with it. Since it does cost a bit, I usually print off a number of things onto a sheet of it and cut them apart. One thing that isn't advertised, of course, is that SH is reusable. A squirt of alcohol and a quick rub will wipe the image right off and the SH is ready to be reused.

Another wonderful cration Faye, I must say I really like the image.xxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a dramatic ATC, Faye! I've never used Sheer Heaven, although I've read about it, and have taken several photography workshops from Jessica Wesolek, one of the 'inventors.' BTW...I took a course on the transfer method at My Creative Classroom; that's where I learned about using Contac paper. It's great!!!
ReplyDeleteyour result looks very great!! i haven´t used this product so far, must see if i get it here. and good hint that it is reusable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful work, Faye.

this is lovely Faye, thank you for visiting me & leaving me a lovely comment. I would love to Guest for One Stop a bit longer so I better enter another competition haha, Janet T
ReplyDeleteGood point about SH being reusable - I keep forgetting that, lol. If your Alcohol ink Background was on glossy, it won't have transferred quite as well as usual, Faye. Perhaps that's what bothered you? I think it's lovely and it's a fab image.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used Sheer Heaven and I'm glad you are telling us all about it. You ATC turned out absolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteI've never used the Sheer Heaven....it looks lovely. I will have to check it out. Thanks for the link. Your ATC is beautiful!

ReplyDeleteGreat piece of artwork Faye! I have read about Sheer Heaven paper but have not been able to track down a supplier in the UK. Aren't alcohol inks fun to use...

Thanx for the nice comment Faye just thought you might like to know what the stamp was: Crafty Individuals Rubber Stamp - C1-175 & just to say I only used Alcohol Inks on silver miri card & metalic rub-ons on the frame. Janet
