Here is one I did this week in acrylics after I found some peach colored
paints to use as the base for skin. Below is another acrylics painting I did
this week where I had to dream up skin color from the limited colors I own.

The first one has such intensity sparking in her eyes..and love the whole color palette..of pumpkin orange glow and yellows..such fantastic energy...her skin is also so life-like and vibrant..wow-factor! and the second painting is peaceful and has such a deeply serene feeling and different kind of energy..very gentle and soulful..and the brushstrokes are amazing..gorgeous work!

ReplyDeletethese are great paintings. beautiful eyes!! you did a great job mixing the skin tones. my favorite "go to" skin tone is orange-yellow with pink. and sometimes a little blue on top. everybody has their favorites.

ReplyDeleteWow I often feel your girls are either a mother and daughter or one of the same in life intervals! Absolutely gorgeous acrylic work.... I hope you get some more colors Faye! Even if you go to a dollar store...they are watered down but often nice to work with!

ReplyDeleteHi Faye, What bright eyed ladies! You know, I do not know how to mix paints so I use my paints directly from the bottle! Or maybe I am just too lazy! Good for me, I found some flesh paints at a sale for just 11 cents a bottle. The store was going to close down. :^( Happy painting! Patsy from
