Gothic Arches - Grunge

Not really sure what grunge is or what it's all about. I used an old background, added some splotches and a tree from Dover Publications. I'm sure some of my art has been unintentional grunge, and it will no doubt happen again. Take a look at what other artists have made for their grunge art at Gothic Arches.

    Oh, what a lovely grunge look you have achieved. I don't think there are any rules to grunge - it is all about arriving at a lived-in and worn appearance I think.

    Faye, I'm with you -- not sure exactly what grunge is either!
    But from what I've seen on the other entries you have achieved the look -- and it's stunning!

    Beautiful Arch Faye.

    Grungy characterise themselves by dark, dark colour and a weather-beaten appearance.
    It means therefore also none use of gold and other sparkle things and none lace, ...

    Great arch Faye and whether intentionally or not, it has a grungy feel to it. Love the elongated shape also.

    I'm like you...not exactly sure what grunge is but...Your art piece is stunning, my friend. The "grunge" on the background of your piece suits the lovely tree image beautifully. It gives the piece an organic, natural feel. Bravo!
