This colorful background was made by misting a glossy cardstock with water and dropping some of the inks onto it. When the surface was covered by dilute inks, I sprinkled large crystal salt on. To speed the drying I used the heat gun. Probably it is better to let it air dry. Then I brushed off all the salt and had a gorgeous tropical background. I decided to make a vacation type ATC from it. The salt technique was the theme this week for SaWo.

Wow, Faye! This is amazing. I love your scrumptious background and marvel at how much work it took to achieve the final result. The way you have used to create a picture is fantastic.
ReplyDelete(By the way, I had to smile when I saw your comment about knowing the name of my "Among my souvenirs" before you read the blurb. I have to warn you that you are in danger of becoming a triplet. Bev and I call ourselves either Tweedledum and Tweedledee or the Siamese Twins because we always know what is going on in each other's mind. Even our challenge friends confuse us and they call me Bev and Bev Marie. Isn't it wonderful to find such a friendly and generous sisterhood in the blogs?)
Wow, Faye, this is great. I love that tropical feeling that you achieved with this technique.
