Tag Tuesday - Flower Pot

The background paper for this tag I did for Tag Tuesday is from a vintage stack. The leaves have been stamped in Stazon onto decorative papers. The butterfly (Stampin' Up) was stamped in distress ink. The flower pot was hand-cut from another of the vintage stack papers. The stickers are from K & Co.

Tag Tuesday - Calendar

Tag Tuesday's theme is calendars. I have taken a piece of misted and sprayed cardstock and stamped it with 3 different leaf stamps in red, purple, yellow and brown inks. I did a collage with the calendar, girl from a magazine and homemade leaf. The daisy is one of K&Company's.

This morning the Fed Ex man left a package for me. It was my wonderful new giant tape dispenser and tapes from Framing Supplies. It really got here fast! Like one day. I'm loving it already. An extra special plus is that the 3M Company donates $1.20 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure for the purchase of this product during 2010-2011..

Tag Tuesday - Spring

Nothing says spring as much as Green, so I made this tag for Tag Tuesday (Spring) with a green resist background and some collage elements. One of them is a scrap of an alcohol inked background I had done. The other is a bunch of flowers I colored with my Marvy markers. I thought "Live" was a good text to use. Everything is coming back to life because winter is over (we hope).

Edit: I just removed that bright green paper from behind the tag and the tag looks so much better now.

Tag Tuesday - purple, green, and silver

Tag Tuesday has as its theme this week to use the colors purple, green and silver. My tag was daubed with some reinkers of purple and green. I also used a little of the Adirondack silver metallics and blending solution. I stamped with my newest stamp from the craft store, an unmounted rubber stamp I got for a dollar. The silver embossing didn't work too well over the Adirondack silver so I outlined in silver pen.

Tag Tuesday - Paper Piecing

Here is my tag for Tag Tuesday. I have torn pieces from various magazine pages and stamped one of my clear bird stamps in various inks. Don't worry your heads trying to figure this tag out. There is no meaning associated with it. I was just trying to get a variety of colors in my torn papers.

Bird Tag

What a delightful surprise: 2 challenges with the same theme! Tag Tuesday has as its theme: birds. Paper Minutes also has its theme: birds.

Using a photo on glossy paper that printed badly, I sprayed it with various mica mists and alcohol inks. When I got a background I liked, I stamped it with my clear bird stamp, which I later outlined in a white gel pen. I also stamped with a couple of other swirl and flower stamps, and I wrote in gel pen the famous saying: A bird in hand is worth two in a bush.

Grid Tag - Colorful

Paper Minutes has as its theme four colors: red, gold, black, and violet. Tag Tuesday's theme is to make a grid tag. I'm not really sure what a grid tag is so here is my version. I hope it's close.

Triple Challenge

Paperminutes' theme is Blue/Brown. Created by Hand's theme is Nature. Tag Tuesday's theme is using a trio of something on a tag.

This tag is my entry for Metallics (Tag Tuesday). The background is a piece of gold foil wrapping paper run through the pasta machine in a cuttlebug folder. The key has been heat embossed in gold. The bow is gold lamé.

Tag Tuesday - Magazine item

For Tag Tuesday, we are to use something from a magazine in our art. My background is watercolor paper that has had various homemade glimmer mists and distress inks applied. The perfume bottle, the black cat, and the plant are all from a magazine.

Tag Tuesday - Stamp Away!

For the theme this week, Tag Tuesday wants us to use only stamps and ink on our tags. This tag was cut from ecru cardstock so I actually started out with a little bit of color. The huge leaf stamps were done using a fallen croton leaf stamped in brown distress ink. Next I took my "sticks" background stamp and my pale blue ink for a little different color. The bird is stamped in StaZon as are the other brown sticks.

Tag Tuesday - Emboss it!

This was done for Louise's challenge: Tag Tuesday. The tag itself was embossed using a cuttlebug folder that had been inked with distress ink. The angel was gold embossed onto the background, made with several different brown ink pads and some Moon Glow sprays. The star tinsel was added at the bottom.

Please click on image to see the embossing clearly.
