Stephanie in the Rain

About 35 years ago I did volunteer tutoring in reading in one of the city schools. Stephanie was one of my students. She was energetic, playful, and full of life. I went home and did this oil painting that depicted Stephanie's traits. By adding this png of the window this could easily be a scene from a nearby building, looking out at the child playing in the rain.

Umbrella is the theme for Take a Word.

    Faye, I love your original paintings which are always exquisite without exception. This one is so beautiful and the addition of the window is perfect. I wonder what Stephanie is doing now. I hope she has had a joyful life.
