Bird Tag

What a delightful surprise: 2 challenges with the same theme! Tag Tuesday has as its theme: birds. Paper Minutes also has its theme: birds.

Using a photo on glossy paper that printed badly, I sprayed it with various mica mists and alcohol inks. When I got a background I liked, I stamped it with my clear bird stamp, which I later outlined in a white gel pen. I also stamped with a couple of other swirl and flower stamps, and I wrote in gel pen the famous saying: A bird in hand is worth two in a bush.

TMTA - Bottle

Here is a bit of Dover art that I transformed some and made into an ATC-sized digital card for TMTA.

This new computer and the new Photoshop Elements are really giving me headaches. I was so used to the old that I feel that I am starting all over in the learning process.

My First PSE6 Creation

Using the image from Art Creations Friday, I made my first attempt at using my new computer and my new PSE6. My fingers are so tired because the keyboard of this laptop isn't as easy to type on as my old desktop. Anyway, here is a simple piece that took about 2 hours to do!!!

I may have to take the computer in to get my old stuff loaded onto this one, so I may go offline again for a while.

Flourishes ATC

I love flourishes. It was quite a while before I got my first flourish stamps and now I can't live without them. This stamp is one of Purple Onion Designs. The background is one of Dover images and had its own flourishes. I'm sorry I can't remember where the lovely lady came from.

This is probably my last post for a while since I have house guests coming tomorrow. Maybe late next week I'll be able to enter another challenge. We'll see.

Wednesday Stamper - Dress

Wednesday's Stamper theme this week is Dress. These vintage dresses from Dover Publications have fascinated me from the first moment I spotted them. I remember my mother wearing something this slinky. Aren't they elegant? My swirl stamp is one of my favorites from Purple Onion Designs.

Grid Tag - Colorful

Paper Minutes has as its theme four colors: red, gold, black, and violet. Tag Tuesday's theme is to make a grid tag. I'm not really sure what a grid tag is so here is my version. I hope it's close.

TMTA - mixed media

My ATC for Think Monday Think ATC is a paper and cloth collage, using scraps from a seed catalog and some tulle, plus gesso.

Let It Snow!

Well, it's a long way from snowing here in the southern part of the USA, but I can tell that autumn is not far off. So when I saw that One Stop Craft Challenge theme was: Let it snow! I decided to use a photo we used on our Christmas cards a few years ago.
