Gothic Arches - Trees

My tree stamp by PSX is probably about 15 years old, but it is one of my favorites. I have used it to create a forest for the Gothic Arches challenge of Trees. My inks were Hampton Art Green and StaZon black. The Santa is an alcohol transfer using one of the free Dover Publications digital clip arts. The size of my arch is 3 x 5".

One Stop Craft Challenge - Blue

Gee, I don't know if my blue shows up well enough or not. This is an inchies ornament, the idea of which came from Patty S. Her tutorial is found on her blog. The little inchie cube is blue and has a brass dragonfly on it. The beads are hand-rolled paper, embossed with Pearl Blue embossing powder. I threaded a brass wire through and hung a bunch of ribbons, some blue, from the bottom. The top of the wire is shaped so that the ornament can hang on a tree. Theme Thursday - Children ATC

Here is my entry for Theme Thursday this week. The challenge is to do an ATC using children. At Dover Publications, I found this delightful image of children playing a game. The background is a double stamped piece done by Lyn for a swap at Art Techniques. I added a tissue paper collage of various colors.

New Award

What a surprise to find that Gisela has honored me with this lovely blog award. I am thrilled that she finds my blog interesting to look at and has given me this honor. So many wonderful blogs are out there that I can't make up my mind yet who to send this on to.

One Stop Craft Challenge

Today was an exciting day. The mailman brought me a package from One Stop, the wonderful Duo Twists pyramage sheets that I won. Here is my first attempt at using this gift. Because of the size of the image, I used a half-sheet-sized cardstock for my card (5.5" x 8.5").

I know that this isn't in line with the challenge entirely because the only photo is my pyramage. But I did want to use my tree this week to say thank you for the gift prize.

Red and Green

The theme for the Created by Hand challenge this week is to use the colors of red and green. I made this greetings card using my very own Li'l Redhead. This is the first time she's been in red and green. Her normal outfit is a blue smock, red and white striped shirt and stockings, and a straw hat. Winter doesn't seem like the time to be running around in the snow without proper clothing on. She is happy to be able to appear on my blog again. I hope you are happy to see her.

Crazy Amigo Gift Tag

Here is a gift tag I made for Crazy Amigo Challenge from a piece of background card that I had entered in an Art Techniques' swap. I used the new Cuttlebug embossing folder that Sarah sent to me as an RAK because I couldn't find the snowflake folder in our stores here. You will be seeing this gorgeous snowflake folder a lot, because it is so cool. Thanks so much Sarah.

Arty Girlz Frames

Here is a digital picture I started last night and finished off with this wild frame this morning. It started out with a photo of a lily which I combined with a photo of a rose of sharon. I added the greeting and changed colors a bit. Today I added the frame, using the same colors that are in the finished picture. It makes a nice Christmas card.
