There were 4 great challenges I wanted to do today, but I just couldn't justify the time to do all of them. So I chose Arty Girlz (smile) and Paperminutes (dots and stripes). I think it really would fit Crazy Amigo Challenge (simplicity), but I won't enter it there.

Arty Girlz & Paper Minutes
There were 4 great challenges I wanted to do today, but I just couldn't justify the time to do all of them. So I chose Arty Girlz (smile) and Paperminutes (dots and stripes). I think it really would fit Crazy Amigo Challenge (simplicity), but I won't enter it there.

Tuesday's Challenges
Four different challenges seemed like they just went together this week, so I have made this collage using a travel brochure (printed matter for Paper Minutes), postage stamps (Crazy Amigo Challenge), flowers (Artygirlz), and gold (Created by Hand). The Belgian stamps were sent to me by Nathalie's mother. The Belgian brochure was a freebie in the mail. The flower came from a greetings card, and the gold/green background was made by me using various Moon Glow products. In addition I dropped a little gold embossing on the center of the flower, just in case, the gold in the background didn't show up.

Arty Girlz Transparent

This ATC was made a while back and has on it a found piece of mica. I haven't yet discovered how to give it to anyone because the mica is extremely fragile. My background is a scrunched magazine. I hit the tops with a light brushing of pearlized paint and gold buffing wax. This technique was developed by Sherre, who is the owner of Art Techniques, a yahoo group. My beads came in a strip and were costly so I only got 1/8th of a yard. Other transparent art can be seen at Arty Girlz.

Four in One Challenges for Tuesday
Tuesdays are always busy since that is the day I do a volunteer craft class at the nursing home. But I found that I could combine Created by Hand (the word love), Arty Girlz (use of buttons), Crazy Amigo (idea of cozy), and the sketch given in Paper Minutes' Tuesday Sketch. The only one I was doubtful about was Cozy. Is holding hands and dressed for the weather cozy enough?
My image is from Graphics Fairy. The text is handwriten and taken from the love chapter of the Bible: I Corinthians 13.

ArtyGirlz and Crazy Amigo Challenges

Arty Girlz challenge today is to use our favorite medium. Mine is Moon Glow mists, so I have used several different ones for my two backgrounds here. Crazy Amigo Challenge asks us to make an art work showing what keeps us warm. My image here says it all: my hat and my gloves keep me warm.

Arty Girlz Frames
Here is a digital picture I started last night and finished off with this wild frame this morning. It started out with a photo of a lily which I combined with a photo of a rose of sharon. I added the greeting and changed colors a bit. Today I added the frame, using the same colors that are in the finished picture. It makes a nice Christmas card.Other "Frames" can be seen at the Arty Girlz website.

Arty Girlz Favorite Color
Arty Girlz Challenge has us using our favorite color. This is a digital piece, using a background of lavender. I overlaid this with an altered photo of a petunia and the saying: When I grow old, I shall wear purple. This isn't the exact quote, but it's close enough for me. I think I'm old enough that I can wear purple, which at this moment, is my favorite color.Today was such a busy day that I didn't have time to do any pasting or cutting. I did that this morning in my volunteer job at the nursing home. This afternoon we drove 90 minutes to pick up our college granddaughter to bring her home for the Thanksgiving holidays.

Blog Inspiration - Blue and Red
Recently I saw a post on Patty''s blog where she used the inside of a security envelope in her background. I thought: what a super neat idea. I must try that. Here is my Li'l Redhead used in a greetings card with the security envelope background. Thanks Patty. More about my creation, Li'l Redhead, in yesterday's post.
The theme for Arty Girlz this week is to use something in someone else's blog to inspire us. Other art creations for AG can be seen Here.
This also fits for the Crazy Amigo challenge whose theme is blue and red.

Tuesday Four in One 4x4 card
My 4x4 was made with four challenges in mind. I used a piece of background paper I had made with leaves pounded onto cardstock. Onto that I glued a circle of iridescent colors that I got by misting Moon Glow Shadow colors onto paper. The smaller circle is from some upholstery fabric. I added ribbons in two corners and then attached 5 buttons. The Arty Girlz Challenge has as its theme: cloth
Crazy Amigo Challenge has as its theme: buttons
Created by Hand Challenge has as its theme: ribbon or trim
Sketch Challenge is to use the sketch they have provided.
Please click on image to enlarge so you can see the tapestry.

Arty Girlz - Blue and Orange
Arty Girlz has for its theme this week Blue and Orange. I had this piece of paper towel I have been covering part of my desk with. I noticed that it was a pretty, iridescent blue from all the oversprays from my Moon Glow misting. So I found a few of my clip art pieces that were orange or blue and added them to the ATC. I wanted to put a quote on it with a stamp so I could enter this in another challenge. Then I realized that all my quotes are clip art. The only word stamps I have are things like thinking of you, happy birthday, etc. So this is entered only in the Arty Girlz challenge.
