I'm trying my hand at one of my first male faces.
I used a photo but it doesn't look enough like it to
show. I've got a long way to go, see. This is my
#4 face for 29 Faces Challenge.
And here is a grandma to go with the grandpa above.
She is done in watercolor pencils and water soluble
crayons (Neocolor II) whereas he was done using
my Winsor & Newton watercolors. This is my
#5 face for 29 Faces Challenge.
Hi Faye, I think faces must be very difficult. I am not good at freehand drawing. My freehand looks very primary. Ha! So I think you are doing very well for the stage you see yourself at. I can't wait to see future faces you do. Hugs

ReplyDeleteYou are so awesome to challenge yourself like this. The masculine face is something I steer away from because past efforts have been less than satisfying. You nudge me … to maybe … perhaps … get a masculine face in this month's challenge.

Love all your faces so far. I hopped over to visit from Rose's blog. You have a very intriguing style of painting that I love. I'm not doing 29 faces this time. I'm taking Effy Wild's Moonshine Mother class. I hope to do 29 faces another time. I sure love looking at other people's work.

Neocolor are my favourite things Faye, you have used them to great effect, your paintings are full of personality.
ReplyDeleteFaye - all of your faces are so well done - males can be difficult - they've got all their features in the same places but somehow it's just harder. I love grandma - you did such a great job on her mouth and teeth - teeth can be very difficult.

ReplyDeleteI think Granddad is very well done, even if it's not one of his days for feeling top of the world. It's a good job he's got such a sweet lady wife, who smiles at him all the time to cheer him up and look after him. Sounds familiar!
