These two pages are from the "sayings of Jesus" journal that my friend Laura
gave me. The top one reads: Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.
The lower one says: Blessed are they which hunger and thirst after righteousness
for they shall be fulfilled. These verses are from Matthew 5. These are being
entered in the Word Art Wednesday and Paint Party Friday challenges.
I did these in watercolor pencils.
Edit: Here is another one I just finished while "watching" (listening to) NCIS.
This one is: Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

Wow Faye..these are all so touching..emotional..peaceful..beautiful..very powerful and moving!! The quotes add another powerful dimension to them..so beautiful! I love the tree branch hanging overhead in this first one..a very powerful moment you have created..deeply stirring!the second one..beautiful..and i love the pose she is in..full of poetry and gentleness! The third piece..she feels like she is shining from within..very illuminating and full of harmony..and i love that quote too!! Brilliant works!! I so enjoyed my visit!
