SaWo - alter a picture

This was such fun. I took an old picture of me and added this lovely vintage outfit, removing a few wrinkles and hopefully making improvements in my appearance. I think the green outfit comes from Art Creations Friday. This is the theme for Saturday's Workout.

Vintage Lady ATC

Theme Thursday's theme this week is Vintage women on an ATC. Art Creations Friday has furnished us with a lovely Vintage woman, so I have combined the two challenges.

Text it to me - mostly purple

Frankie's Tag It On challenge is to make a mostly purple tag and use lots of text on it. Purple being one of my present favorite colors made this an easy task. I ran up to the art room, cut out a piece of watercolor paper to the shape of a tag, sprayed it with my new Smoky Sapphire Moon Shadow mists, along with some home-mixed purple ink and mica and dabbed the whole background with purple Starburst ink. I have very few text stamps so I used what I had. Hope this is purple enough. Enlarge it to see just how purple it really is.

This entry also fits for Wednesday Stamper, since it's an open theme.

Architecture is the theme for Think Monday Think ATC. All the images on my ATC come from the Dover freebies.

Art Creations Friday 39

With summer winding down, I figured this little girl was off for one last dip in the ocean before she had to go back to school. The background was one of Dover freebies. Art Creations Friday has furnished us this delightful image to play with.

Tag Arch

I've been playing around with mixing mica powders with clear embossing powder. The leaf is interference violet Pearl Ex plus clear EP. I also did some swirls on the tag itself, using russet red + bright yellow and a mixture of leftover Pearl Ex and clear EP of various colors. Please enlarge to see the details. The Rose

Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog has "The Rose" as its theme this week. I used some mica-misted cardstock for my background and dry embossed this rose, using a  brass stencil. Behind the red cardstock is a piece of offwhite cardstock I had embossed with a cuttlebug folder.

Turquoise and Red

Two colors I don't ordinarily think of as going together, but it's not bad. These colors are the theme for Wednesday Stamper.
