Watercolor Doings for the Week

Each Friday Kristin and Eva host a wonderful challenge called Paint Party Friday.
It is so well attended that getting around to all the artists' blogs is really difficult. I
have noted there are a few who try to visit all of them. I personally went to and
commented on over 100 posts last week. I love to see what others are doing.

Just a note:

I appreciate each and every comment, even if it is left on a post other than PPF.
I realize that it takes a lot of time to visit around, maybe throughout the next week.
I really want the artists whose blogs I visit to come see what I have done and leave a
comment on how I can improve my work. Your suggestions mean a lot and I pay attention to them.

This is a remake of a smaller, much earlier watercolor I did. I am not
sure what image I used to do the original small painting, which I had
on my computer. The colors aren't quite right on the screen.

I colored with watercolors a copy of the sketch I showed last week.

And here is a watercolor scene. I copied it onto glossy paper
and cut it into thirds to use for greetings cards. The original
is still whole. It needs something. I may add some birds
flying in the air. An old art teacher had birds in a lot of
his paintings for interest and for balance of design.

These are my entries for Paint Party Friday.

Tag it On - Coastal, Mica, Flourish

Here is my entry for Tag it On where the theme is:
coastal, mica, flourish and always one real stamp.
My flourish stamp is from Stampin'Up.
The mica is in the turquoise ink by Lindy's Stamp Gang.
The drawing/painting is by me. Li'l Redhead is my character
based on my granddaughter when she was a child.

Edit: I just noticed while browsing the DT's entries, that the
mica was supposed to be a flake, not like I have (a part of my ink).

Paintings and Drawings

Last week I worked on the left half of this painting. This week I have sort of finished it.

And here are some more purple coneflowers done with watercolor pencils.

Today while waiting for my husband who was having a hospital procedure, I did this
sketch. I know it isn't a painting but I guess I could turn it into one easily enough.
These are my entries in the Paint Party Friday challenge for this week.

Word Art Wednesday

Here is my entry for this week's Word Art Wednesday challenge.
I have used one of my watercolor paintings that I have on my computer
and I have used Photoshop Elements to add this week's scripture.

Something I painted this week...

Last week Ann showed some gorgeous photos on her blog and
offered them as images to be painted. I took a portion of one of
the photos and did my rendition of her scene in watercolor pencils.
I am entering this in this Friday's Paint Party Friday challenge,  posting
early because our granddaughter will be visiting this weekend from California.
I just couldn't get the right colors with the pencils I have.

And here is a collage I made from green card stock, some gesso,
lots of Moon Glow sprays, and a mat board filagree from Lindy's Stamp Gang.
It is also being entered in the Word Art Wednesday challenge.

WAW - 2

I am fortunate to have a daughter-in-law who loves to shop at
Goodwill. She often finds me crafty treasures, like this unopened
package of coordinated papers. I am entering this also in the
