One of the students in my watercolor class brought a
calendar she had created from her photos from her trip
to Ecuador. The photos were all exotic hummingbirds.
We could choose any of the birds to paint. I painted the
Booted Racket-tail hummingbird.
Fridays are so special because I get to go to a really special
art gallery called Paint Party Friday. Since anyone can
view these fantastic works of art, come by and see what
a variety of art works are there. Kristin and Eva are
the hard working hosts of the blog.

the hummingbird is a beautiful piece of art!

ReplyDeleteit is beautiful. You captured it well I think. I have seen a similar one in Costa Ric :)
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done and such an interesting bird. I bet there are lots of different kinds of birds there. Glad you shared with us.
ReplyDeleteThank you Faye for your comment on my post-Moose or Reindeer. I had been looking at my piece wondering why it wasn't moose like for several weeks. Sometimes I guess you get too close to something and you can't see the forest from the trees, or in this case the obvious antler position. Wow- that's it. I guess a pair of fresh eyes is always a VERY GOOD thing to have sometimes. Hope you have a fantastic weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteFaye ~ this is an exquisite painting ~ so lovely! Love the breed of bird too!
