Hummingbird

One of the students in my watercolor class brought a
calendar she had created from her photos from her trip
to Ecuador. The photos were all exotic hummingbirds.
We could choose any of the birds to paint. I painted the
Booted Racket-tail hummingbird.
Fridays are so special because I get to go to a really special
art gallery called Paint Party Friday. Since anyone can
view these fantastic works of art, come by and see what
a variety of art works are there. Kristin and Eva are
the hard working hosts of the blog.

  15. Stunning work Faye. ..watercolour is truly your best medium! Love the banner too! Reminds me of this farm set toy my cousin had as a child! We loved that toy! I'm sure it was fashioned after a beautiful barn such as this!

  25. Thank you Faye for your comment on my post-Moose or Reindeer. I had been looking at my piece wondering why it wasn't moose like for several weeks. Sometimes I guess you get too close to something and you can't see the forest from the trees, or in this case the obvious antler position. Wow- that's it. I guess a pair of fresh eyes is always a VERY GOOD thing to have sometimes. Hope you have a fantastic weekend. Hugs-Erika
