In Jo's Saturday class we altered children's board books by
sandpapering off the shiny finish and then doing collage,
painting, stamping, etc. according to her prompts. I will
be showing my book gradually. Here are the front and the
back covers. This is for Paint Party Friday challenge.
Jo's blog has a link in my sidebar.

Sounds like a fun class. I like your covers and can't wait to see more of what you've done! Happy PPF!

Altering those think, blocky books is such fun ~ and I can see you're enjoying it! Lovely work!
ReplyDeleteI knew that. . .I've been following Jerry Yarnell on CREATE and he's painting over an acrylic with Waterless Oil to change the original (would have had to sand the varnish off, had it been varnished). I didn't even think about doing that to a book. This is incredible (your painting). Blessings, Janet PPF
ReplyDeleteGreat words in the first, four favourite occupations, and I enlarged the second and found all sorts of fascinating textures and shapes together with your wonderfully painted girl.
