I decided to try acrylics painting once more with the extender medium
I bought today. I can see lots of things wrong with this, but I will keep
plugging away till I catch on to this technique. I guess this is a WIP.
This is also for the Paint Party Friday challenge just as my other entry.

She's beautiful! Soft and friendly and sweet.
ReplyDeleteOooh, she is so beautiful, Faya, a wonder picture. HPPF

Faye I think she is coming along beautifully... and I love extender with acrylics... it gives you so much more time to get the blending just right... I can't wait to see how this turns out once it is finished...xx
ReplyDeleteOh Faye, this face looks really wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLovely! And I think she really resembles her author, especially through the eyes and brows. Wonderful color.
ReplyDeleteI love painting faces, but I mainly do it well with pastels. This is lovely.
ReplyDeleteoooh I so love your portrait Faye, such beautiful colours. Have never tried the extender medium and would love to hear how it works.

Faye, she is so lovely! Anything that you see wrong isn't there for me when I look at her. Maybe you are being to hard on yourself.

i think she's lovely and I like the background very much. I like the idea of an extender for acrylics as they do dry very quickly - often on the palette before I get a chance to use it all!!
ReplyDeleteThis is Beautiful Faye...She looks gorgeous! Love her blue eyes and lips...even her hair looks great. HPPF :)
ReplyDeleteWorking with acrylic has its advantages and disadvantages, dries fast so you have to know very well what you want, is odorless and easy to clean, I think you're doing very well the girl's face and looks great. Saludos
ReplyDeleteI think she's beautiful Faye, the acrylic extender medium takes some practice but I think she's wonderful. HPPF!
ReplyDeleteGreat job again Faye. Love both your oils and acrylics and that's because your work is always good. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI think she is lovely Faye. I do hope you keep plugging away. Acrylics are difficult not only from the drying fast side of things. It takes practice. Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteLovely face Faye, so gentle. I must try the extenders as I struggle with acrylics drying so fast. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteShe is Beautiful Faye, She has a very warm friendly face... I Adore the background colours... Hugs May x x x
ReplyDeleteHi Faye, in answer to your question on my blog; I am English, and have been living in Germany for many years! I don't think you are prying, I find it great that you are interested in other people! Hope your poor knees are soon feeling better! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteIt's coming along very nicely!
ReplyDeleteI think it is very pretty. I love the warm colors and the expression on her face.
ReplyDeleteWow..she is brilliant..beautiful and so very special Faye! not only do I love her, I also love the energy and color palette of the backdrop..all those gorgeous green-blues and turquoise melding together and with the gold highlights..stunning! She has strong and gentle eyes..and I love the shape and shadow of her hair! I feel like she knows something powerful..something potent about her gaze!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! I have never tried extender..sounds interesting!
