Theme Thursday Tea or Coffee

Thursday's Theme this week is Tea or Coffee. I thought immediately of the tea ceremony my dh attended on one of his many trips to Japan during his career as a technical manager at a chemical company. This 4x4 collage is made up of a background I had made of alcohol inks and metallic mixatives, a green tea packet, and a photo taken at the above tea ceremony.

The small characters in silver say "Kyoto District Valley Authority Pine Northern Tea Store." The medium silver characters say  "sheared tea."  In front of her face, the characters say "bagged village authority tea." The large silver character is the name of the store.  The characters at the bottom in black say "tea ceremony."

Other interpretations of the theme Tea or Coffee can be found at  Theme Thursday.

  11. That is a great piece with memories behind it.

Every year the local Japanese Garden holds tea ceremonies, but we've never attended.
