Pencil Art

These two pages are from the "sayings of Jesus" journal that my friend Laura
gave me. The top one reads: Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.
The lower one says: Blessed are they which hunger and thirst after righteousness
for they shall be fulfilled. These verses are from Matthew 5. These are being
entered in the Word Art Wednesday and Paint Party Friday challenges.
I did these in watercolor pencils.
Edit:  Here is another one I just finished while "watching" (listening to) NCIS.
This one is: Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

Pencil and Paint Art for Friday

The first one is watercolors and pencils.
The lower one is watercolor pencils. I know
they are supposed to have a bit of water added but
I liked the pencil look and I was fearful of ruining it
if I added water. Besides, my watercolor pencils  seem
to work better for me than the Prismacolor pencils that I have.
These will be my contribution to this week's Paint Party Friday.

This is a digital piece I made using the digital brushes by
Annika von Holdt. The scripture I added comes via Word Art Wednesday.

Pencil Drawing for this Week for PPF

I found this old woman in a magazine and changed her up a bit for
my work with colored pencils this week. She's not meant to be a
beauty. She looks like she's had a hard life, to me.

Here is how my girl from last week ended up. The first half of the artists
who commented liked the dark background. The second half of the artists
like the light background. I was able to wipe off most of the dark because
that was watercolor. So I am replacing it with a dark gray, not as dark as
the almost black of last week. Also, by cropping it, she is no longer floating.

These are my entries for Paint Party Friday.
