So Artful Challenges - colors

Purple, fuchsia, lime green and turquoise is the color combination challenge for So Artful Challenges this week. I just laid down those color inks on my craft sheet and placed my white sheet of paper over it to absorb those fantastic colors.  It does look like a Magic Garden, which is the alternate theme.

PPF - 9-21-12

This week has been incredibly busy with medical visits. So for Paint Party Friday I fell back into dropping inks on a wet sheet and blowing the colors around with air from a drinking straw. Then after drying the sheet, I found areas that looked like flowers and leaves and outlined them in white gel pen (photo 1). To finish off this piece, I went to my Photoshop Elements and inverted the colors (photo 2). It may be a while before I can visit around, but I will definitely see what the other Paint Party Friday artists have been up to. Please forgive my meager offering this week.
And here is a shoe I've drawn in my sketchbook. Maybe another painting in progress.

Misty Autumn Glaze - TIO

Here is a camera shot of my tag for TIO, where we were given a "recipe" for the challenge: tag, real stamp, mists or sprays, autumn colors, glaze of some sort. I started with a plain white cardstock tag, punched corners, sprayed with malachite, mulberry, and bronze Moon Shadow Mists, stamped with distress inks using my maple leaf stamp, and then adhered some punched out oak leaves that had also been sprayed with Moon Shadow Mists. The two light color leaves were treated with Crystal Effects glaze.

Paint Party Friday

My painting project this week consisted of using Moonshadow sprays. Some flower punch outs, some butterfly punch outs from Merrie and some plastic mesh also from Merrie were used as masks for the spraying. The sheet is the normal computer paper size. Below that is a man's card I made from part of the paper I made. Below that is a doodle I did, which I painted digitally. Another look at the homemade background paper can be seen in the post before this one. I am entering my painted paper and doodle in the Paint Party Friday challenge.

Fun with ATCs - keys

Here is my entry for Fun with ATCs - keys. I made the background with Moonshadow mists and some masking with cut-out butterflies and  plastic mesh, both sent to me by Merrie, my internet friend in Washington state, USA. The ironwork images are Dover Publication freebies.

Watercolor Flowers

I've done a few small paintings this week. This one was done with watercolor crayons.

These two bookmarks were made from a couple of other small watercolor paintings.
This is my entry to Paint Party Friday.

TMTA - animals

This is my entry to this week's Think Monday Think ATCs where the theme is Animals. Dani and Dani have been running this challenge for five years and feel it is time to stop. I think I have been entering off and on for at least 4 1/2 years and I will really miss this challenge. ATCs are fun to do. They are relatively fast to make because of the size. And lots of people enjoy trading them. Thanks to the hosts for the fine job they have done.
