Darkened Hair


I decided to darken  the shadows on this piece I did for
last week's Paint Party Friday. See below for original.

    You're an amazing artist, Faye - so lovely to see what you've been creating and what talent you have! Amazing how the darkened shadows make such a big difference. Love the way you've done her hair.

    Also love your watercolours elsewhere - wonderful! You really do have a gift.

    I am always amazed how big a difference shadows and deeper value changes makes to a piece- even ones that did not seem to need it at first glance! You have a good eye to have seen that this one would benefit from deeper tones:-)

    It's a lovely painting. It did benefit from adding deeper shadows. It brings her more to life.

    Hi Faye..she is stunning...full of wisdom..strong...love her expression..also love her fancy blouse/top...very pretty..gorgeous style! Her eyes also captivate the viewer...wonderful energy to her!
