Word Art Wednesday

The scripture for this week's Word Art Wednesday  is this beautiful passage
from Galatians. I have digitally joined a photo of our iris bed (not this year)
with the given Bible verse designed by Diane Noble.

Just Playing Around this Week

Not much real art by me this week. I did make this "card". The background
was a computer sheet where I was trying out stamps and inks. I decided to keep
going with colors on it and sprayed lots of different MoonGlow (mica-loaded)
sprays. The flower is made by spraying 3 coffee filters with other mica sprays.
Then I photographed that part and put on the computer. With Photoshop Elements
I added the sentiment and the borders. Below is a real watercolor in one of my
journals. I am entering these in this week's Paint Party Friday challenge.

Word Art Wednesday - March 13 - Alcohol Inks

Yesterday I made this background by blowing air through a
drinking straw onto drops of alcohol inks. Using glossy paper
is essential to get this effect. I have digitally added today's
Word Art Wednesday scripture, reversing the text color.

Here is my entry for Artekarten where the theme is
"blowing" alcohol ink around on glossy paper with
a drinking straw. I have added a little white gel pen.

This is a watercolor that I had done earlier.
The flower is called Blackberry Lily.
I am entering this in Mandarin Orange Monday 32.
Below is an altered-via-Photoshop Elements version.

Painting for March 8

This is my entry for the Paint Party Friday for March 8, 2013. It came about as two different paintings that I have combined. The background was done in a mixed media tablet in watercolors. The woman sketch was done in my mini journal, scanned, printed, watercolored, cut out and attached to the background. Does anyone besides me think she looks a little like Julie Andrews?

Take a Word - Warm Colors

Here is a watercolor I did a few years ago that I have made a little warmer
through the wonders of Photoshop Elements. It is one of the first watercolor
paintings I made, and it was done in a painting class. I am entering this in the
Take a Word challenge for this week.
