Take a Word - NUMB3RS

Here is my entry for Take a Word. It started as a bread basket liner from O'Charleys that I sprayed and stamped with various colors. The flowers and swirls are stick-ons. The numbers are a combination of stick-ons and digital inventions.

I haven't done much art. We were expecting visitors from out of state Sunday. But prior to that happening, my dh had a very serious medical event while playing golf Wednesday. He went to ER and then was admitted to ICU for 3 days and to Telemetry for another day. We got home Saturday night. Our company arrived Sunday evening, not knowing of our emergency. They were charming and understanding. We had a wonderful visit with them and wish they had more time to stay. DH is recovering and will be back to his activities in the near future, we think.

I hope this hurry-up card is OK. I really love numbers. I work Sudoku every day, and I majored in mathematics in college.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Easter

Eggs really have nothing to do with Easter. However, I wanted to show off an egg-shaped Easter card made by my great-grandmother's half sister, close to 100 years ago (more or less, not sure). This is my entry for Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Easter.

Now for the real story as taken from Matthew 28 in The Message, a modern version of the Bible:

The angel spoke to the women: "There is nothing to fear here. I know you're looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross. He is not here. He was raised, just as he said. Come and look at the place where he was placed. Now, get on your way quickly and tell his disciples, 'He is risen from the dead...'"
